The Lyfe Magazine recognizes the struggle many of us are facing during this time. We Would like to take a moment each week to recognize someone who is working and helping others during this stressful period.

Each week we want to honor someone, to let everyone know there are genuine heroes in the world!

This week we honor Felicia Flake!

What is your occupation and how long have you worked in this field?

I have been a Personal trainer and group fitness instructor for nine years.

What has been the biggest challenge so far?

Keeping motivated when you don’t feel like doing anything thing at all. You have to find something to keep you going and getting out of the bed.

Do you foresee anything good coming from all of this?

Yes. Something good can come from everything depending on how you look at it. I think people will be more cautious about their cleanliness overall.

Do you think life in your field will go back to normal or have things been forever changed?  Please explain.

I do think eventually things will get back to normal but definitely not right away. People will be more cautious of their comings and goings. People will be more cautious of their whereabouts and how many people are in small confined areas like the fitness studio.

Do you think the lock down is working?

I think it is working to an extent but not as well as it could be if everyone was actually abiding by the lockdown. Some people are truly locked down on Quarantinewhile other go to the grocery store every single day for something to do.

What advice would you give people during this time?

Pray like never before. Cover your family and friends in prayer. And definitely find some type of workout regimen to do daily that gets your blood flowing and keeps your lungs healthy.
