Women’s History Month Focus – Tina M. Scotland (A.K.A Tina Marie Hollywood)

The Lyfe Magazine will be celebrating Women’s History Month in a very special way this year. Each week of this month we will feature one of our female Board of Directors. Each of these women are making history now that will be recognized for years to come.

We believe you will not only enjoy reading their stories but be inspired as well.

This week, let us introduce you to Tina M. Scotland (A.K.A. Tina Marie Hollywood).

I don’t remember the exact day I met Tina Marie Hollywood but I certainly agreed with her moniker, “Hollywood”. She always had an upbeat and glamous way about her that made you comfortable. After knowing her for so many years I have see many sides of my friend and I am honored to have her on my board of directors.

Tina has more than 20 years of experience in business and her business motto is, “She builds businesses, not walls”. She is considered by many in her field as a business and marketing guru. Tina helped in marketing and branding several businesses in New York City, California, Florida, Maryland, Atlanta and Washington DC, just to name a few. She is an entrepreneur, leader, and trailblazer. Being on the board of community organizations and helping in several non-profit organizations, she has come to realize the importance of people helping people in business and in life.

Tina was a volunteer and speaker at Dress for Success, a nonprofit organization known around the world for women empowerment and helping families in need. Tina was one of their appointed speakers for their graduation ceremonies and women empowerment conferences. Tina never shies away from an opportunity to use her voice as a positive impact on the community. She held a weekly segment called ‘Wellness Wednesday’ on the popular ‘Tom Joyner Morning Show’ and was an on air personality on 88.5 FM The Urban Café.

Tina previously served as the marketing director for the Danny Glover Foundation Inc and served as the executive director for the Quinton Aaron Foundation Inc. Along with her directorship; she was the Vice President of the Tampa Bay Chambers of Commerce in which she enforces policies, bylaws, and objectives for the organization daily.

Tina currently teaches Japanese kids English online, has show on 98.2 FM in Japan, Australia and New Zealand. She also is the Vice President of Gentlemen’s Course.

Ms. Scotland believes that success is not a destination; it’s a journey and she’s enjoying her ride.
