A Wake Up Call… The Aftermath!

For the last several months the United States in particularly Texas, Florida, and the Caribbean’s have been in such a devastating place. Now, these states and islands are in a place where they are trying to put back the pieces of their lives. While both Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma have naturally destroyed and disrupted the lives of millions, these Hurricanes were intentionally designed to give the Body of Christ a wake-up call. If ever the Body of Christ needed to wake up from it’s slumber, the time is NOW!

Name Meanings

Harvey was the Patron Saint of the Blind and its name means Army Warrior. Hurricane Harvey hit Corpus Christi, Texas the hardest. Which if we translate the word Corpus Christi, we get Body of Christ. Therefore, we can conclude that the Army Warrior was sent to wake up the Body of Christ. Irma, being of German descent means War Goddess was originally predicted to hit Florida on a Sunday. These two Hurricane’s, in my opinion, were not sent to destroy those states affected, but they were sent to wake up the Body of Christ.

Matthew 28:16-20

We are living in a day and time where the Body of Christ has lost its first responsibility according to Matthew 28:16-20. When Jesus was crucified, buried, and resurrected, after His ascension back to the Father, He gave the disciples then and His disciples now one command and that was to Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.

And an even greater commission was given and that was to go and make disciples of all nations. However, we as a Body have lost our focus. We focus more on titles, position, status, money, etc. rather than focusing on the Kingdom of God. It’s time for the Body of Christ to wake up and become more focus on what God has commanded and commission us to do. Our thoughts and prayers are with the many victims of Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma. God will restore everything that was destroyed and lost!
