Mother’s Day is soon approaching and what better way to say “I love you and thank you, Mom” than with a nice getaway? With today’s busy working mom, a nice weekend break from their reality

is always a great way to show appreciation. Here are some great vacays you can send your mom on.

• Weekend staycation at a hotel-casino with spa—Not every city will have a casino but, if yours does, the room service is star quality and there are excellent spas for extra relaxation. The casino is a bonus. Get mom down to the slots to unwind and maybe hit a jackpot to bring home.
• Ready to embark—It’s cruising time! Moms love a nice cruise. Take your mom on a short cruise for Mother’s Day and watch her shine with joy. Cruises are cost efficient as all meals are provided (beverage packages can be purchased at an additional cost) and ships are packed with fun activities.
• Winery visit—I honestly think a requirement for being a mom is having a love of good wine. After chasing babies, maintaining households, prioritizing the kids’ school and extracurricular activities, and even managing outside jobs, moms need a chance to unwind. After all the kids are in bed, a glass of wine is needed to relax the body, mind, and spirit. Treat Mom to a nice winery so she and her girlfriends can enjoy the day.

Our mothers mean so much to us, and it’s very rare that we take the time to truly say thank you and we appreciate you for all the sacrifices you’ve made for us. I’m sure one of these ideas would have your mom smiling from ear to ear if you surprise her with it on Mother’s Day.
