Madison Harrison – Celebrity Photographer

Madison Harrison – Celebrity Photographer

“Please move a little to the left. Ok, chin up. Good job, now give me some pizzazz!” These are the directions given to her clients, (children and adults) who have the pleasure of being in front of her lens.

This 10-year-old phenomenal photographer picked up the camera for the very first time at 3 years old and hasn’t put it down since. At 7 years old, after watching her mother start a business, she decided she wanted to start a business as well. When we asked Madison, “why photography?” She responded, “I watched my mom’s friend take pictures of my grandmother; when I saw how my grandmother reacted to seeing her photos, I knew right away that I wanted to create that moment for other people.”

Special Moments

When Madison first started, she focused mainly on creating special moments for little girls and their dolls. She says that as a little girl herself, she loved taking pictures with her dolls and she wanted other little girls to experience that as well.”

While Madison still focuses on photographing children, she’s become quite the accomplished celebrity photographer. She’s interviewed, photographed and taken selfies with Oprah Winfrey, Tyler Perry, T.D. Jakes and John Legend among others. While this seems like an amazing accomplishment, it all came to be when she followed her dream to photograph the President of the United States.

#HelpMadisonMeetPotus

Shortly after starting her business, Madison used the hashtag, #HELPMadisonMeetPOTUS on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Every time she posted on social media, she included the hashtag hoping that it would catch the eye of someone at the White House. It wasn’t until almost two years after creating the hashtag campaign did she receive a private invitation via Twitter to attend the United State of Women summit hosted by Former First Lady Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey. Madison says that was the longest 2 years of her life but she literally had to pinch herself when her mother showed her the email that approved her for White House Press Pool Media Credentials. “I screamed so loud! I just couldn’t believe it”, says Madison.
