It’s been over a year in the making but on January 1, 2017 the first single from the long awaited Standing Firm soundtrack will be available. Renata Mikae who starred in the movie as Raine Davis describes Let it Raine as a, “Song that has a smooth jazz feel with a R&B soulful beat. The chorus is catchy and makes the listener feel like they’re on top of the world. The verse makes one feel like they can’t be stop…do whatever you need to do to reach your dreams!”
Let it Raine is performed by Lahla-Hadiya. Lahla-Hadiya did a masterful job in getting in the head of the character and feeling what she was feeling at that point in the movie. She took the lyrics from Gerald C. Anderson, Sr and produced a powerful version of Let it Raine in just one weekend. “Lahla-Hadiya was just the person I needed to bring out what I was looking for in Let it Raine. I was knocked off my feet when I heard what she did with the song.”
Let it Raine was produced by Johnnie Castro and co-produced by Lahla Hadiya, both courtesy of J-Lah Productions, LLC. The song is published through J-Lah Productions. (ASCAP). The musicians in the song are Lahla-Hadiya’s band, The Tone of Lah.
Let it Raine will be available everywhere you can purchase music including iTunes, Google and Amazon.
